Doing “the work” – to be anti-racist, to fight to justice, to make any big social change – can be exhausting and feel never ending. I’ve collected some quotes that give me hope and inspire me to keep going.
I put this Audre Lorde quote on my sign at the Women’s March in 2019, but this 1981 quote has never been more relevant.

From the suffragettes to labor reform to civil rights, progress in American history is littered with angry women. That’s not a bad thing.

Morgan Harper Nichols is one of my favorite artists on Instagram. This Empathy poem sums up why we are committed to keep going and guide our Operation Amplify core issues.
