Biden-Harris inauguration party ideas

Inauguration Celebration Printable

We’ve been waiting four long years to celebrate kicking Donald Trump out of the White House, so dammit let’s do it! Your Inauguration Day celebration likely looks different than you imagined. But, I have printables, supplies, and ideas to throw an awesome inauguration party.

Months ago, I was daydreaming about hosting an outdoor party to celebrate the inauguration. It became clear that was not realistic with COVID. So, started making plans to take my kids to the National Mall to be there and get a glimpse of the historical events. Unfortunately, that is no longer an option.

While it will not be the Inauguration Day I envisioned, I’m sure as hell going to celebrate. We’re having a living room Inauguration Day Party of five. I hope you have one, too!

Printable Inauguration Signs

Get your printer fired up: you have rally signs and DIY MVP heads-on-a-stick to print.

The download is 8 pages of inauguration fun, and I am a little obsessed with the cutouts. They turned out better than I imagined and are super simple to make.

How to make Inauguration MVP Cutouts

  • Print the Inauguration Celebration Printouts (click here to download) on single-sided thick paper. I printed on card stock.
  • Cut out the heads. I was nervous, but it’s very forgiving.
  • Use a glue gun or strong tape to attach each head to a stick. I used long popsicle sticks.
  • Have fun!

I mean, if holding up a Doug Emhoff head on a stick doesn’t get you in the mood for an inauguration, what will? LFG

The printout also includes 4 rally signs. Shake ’em, hang ’em, lay ’em on your table. Just celebrate!

To really go over the top and annoy my family, I ordered decorations from Amazon. It’s going to look like the Fourth of July threw up all over my living room! Inauguration BINGO

Keep the kids engaged – or the adults entertained – with Biden-Harris Inauguration BINGO cards. The download is seven different BINGO cards with a variety of phrases, words and ideas you’re likely to hear during the ceremony.

Inauguration Party Playlist

From the primaries to convention to political spots to victory celebrations, music sets the mood and sends a message. Get in the inauguration mood with a Biden/Harris Team 46 playlist on Spotify or Apple Music. Featuring music from candidate playlists, convention performances, campaign ads and victory celebrations, this playlist is a journey. A journey of wonderful music!

Now, you may notice one of these songs is not like the other. On November 7, a video of Los Angelenos dancing at a gas station to Kelly Clarkson went viral. There was simply no way I could leave “Since You’ve Been Gone” off the list!

Inauguration Party Ideas

It’s not a party without food and drink. Admittedly, the only thing I have planned so far is bottomless mimosas. Of course, I have a Pinterest board full of patriotic goodies for inspiration.

Keep Celebrating

Let’s continue to celebrate the Biden victory, the first female Vice President, and the defeat of Trump. Stock up in the OA Shop on our favorite Team 46 and Kamala Harris gear.
